Information You Provide

When you create an account or use the App, we may collect:

  • Name
  • Email address
  • Password (encrypted)
  • GHIN® Number
  • Handicap Index®
  • Golf scores
  • Tournament and match participation
  • Team information
  • Messages or information you send to Customer Support

Information Collected Automatically

When you use the App, we may collect:

  • Device model
  • Operating system version
  • App version
  • IP address
  • Device identifiers used for security and authentication
  • Diagnostic information
  • Crash reports
  • Log information

We do not collect your contacts, photos, videos, microphone, or precise location unless you explicitly grant permission for a feature requiring that information.

How We Use Information

We use collected information to:

  • Create and manage your account
  • Authenticate users
  • Organize leagues and tournaments
  • Calculate player score and birdie averages, weights, and statistics
  • Post authorized scores to your scoring record through the USGA® centralized computation service
  • Synchronize your handicap information

GHIN® Integration

If you authorize BigTeamGolf to connect to your GHIN® account, the App may:

  • Verify your GHIN® membership
  • Retrieve your Handicap Index®
  • Submit eligible scores to GHIN®
  • Display handicap information within BigTeamGolf

Only the information necessary to provide these services is exchanged.

How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information.

We may share information only with:

  • The World Handicap System™ when you authorize score posting
  • Cloud service providers that host our application
  • Vendors who provide infrastructure or customer support
  • Law enforcement or government agencies when required by law
  • Successors in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets

Data Security

We use industry-standard administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information.

Although we work to protect your information, no method of electronic storage or Internet transmission is completely secure.

Data Retention

We retain information only as long as necessary to:

  • Provide the App
  • Maintain BigTeamGolf matches and tournament history
  • Meet legal obligations
  • Resolve disputes
  • Enforce our agreements

You may delete your account by going to Settings and "Delete My Account".

Your Choices

You may:

  • Update your account information
  • Disconnect your GHIN® account
  • Delete your account
  • Request correction of inaccurate information

Some information may be retained where required by law or for legitimate business purposes.

Children's Privacy

BigTeamGolf is not directed toward children under the age of 13.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn such information has been collected, we will promptly delete it.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.

The Effective Date at the top of this document indicates the latest revision.
