About Big Team Golf
Every group has the same problem. We decided to fix it.
The Problem
If we've seen it once, we've seen it a million times. You have a regular group that you play with every week, but you can never get off the tee without an argument over what are fair teams.
Bickering over giving or getting strokes. Someone upset that they were picked last. The same guy always ends up on the winning team. There's always something.
With the Big Team Golf app, these problems are a thing of the past.
The Origin
Originally conceived in 1977 at Huntsville Country Club in Alabama, members grew tired of the constant fighting over team selection for their regular game: Big Team.
Played Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday, shouting matches before tee time became the norm. So they built something better: an algorithm and a computer program to take the arguing out of the equation.
How It Works
With Big Team Golf, players are assigned a weighting based on their score and birdie average over the last 20 rounds. These weightings are then used to construct teams that are actually fair.
No strokes. No egos. Just balanced teams every time.
And since it's based on actual on-course results, the subjective is removed. Having a bad stretch? You'll be paired with better teammates. On a hot streak? Your teammates may have lower weightings. The goal is always fair.
